The new Park ‘n’ Ride increased the number of car parking spaces from 458 to 815. The facility also includes nine Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA) compliant car parks, six Kiss ‘n’ Go bays, 24 motorcycle and more than 30 bicycle parking spaces.

The aim of the project is to meet demand for the Park ‘n’ Ride and increase public transport usage.

To reduce the land required for building and to minimise impacts on existing vegetation, a new ground-level car park adjacent to Darley Road and a new single level car park (ground and first floor) over the existing car park accessed via Gameau Road. The electrical installation included dali control car park lighting, cctv and security system and the latest LED street lighting.

Completed December 2020.

General Description of Work:

Installation of new switchboards, isolation transformer and earthing system.
Intelligent Dali control lighting system to report back top DPTI head office.
Energy efficient lighting control systems, to respond to the clients requirements at a moments notice.
Supply and installation of all specified and compliant light poles, light fittings and all electrical materials.
The supply and installation of supply and install of UPS emergency lighting system throughout the complex and shared paths.

Dual SAPN power supplies to hydraulic services pumps with energy monitoring, automatic transfer switches, and the ability to attached a back up generator.
Installation of complete building security and smoke detection system as specified and the required power supply supplying sophisticated real time energy monitoring and lighting control configuration and commissioning by South Australian switchboard manufacturer BEswitchcraf.
